I’m a 29 year old book-a-holic. I’ve been reading books since the age of 4 and haven’t stopped since then. In elementary school I would win all the book reading contests thanks to my ability to read multiple books quickly. Unfortunately, I lost that talent as I got older, but my passion for reading has not waned.
I’m very much a mood reader, meaning I pick up anything that fits my mood. I like romance, YA, fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, etc….the only exceptions seem to be hardcore sci-fi and horror. I just can’t seem to get into these genres. If you are an author and would like me to review your book you are more than welcome to email me at Jaguar897@gmail.com with your request. I’ve been a member of GoodReads since 2008. This site is simply awesome, especially for book lovers like myself who are not surrounded by other readers. I really can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve had a blast meeting other readers, discussing my favorite and not so favorite books and getting recommendations. I currently co-mod a group called Historical Fictionistas and I’m part of The Book Vine. You can also checkout some of my past reviews on my read shelf.
Apart from reading my other passion is for crafts. As a Pisces I have a creative soul…at least I like to think so. My primary talent lies in embroidery. I’m self taught, but I seemed to have inherited the gene from my grandmother who embroidered. I usually just stick to pre-printed pillowcases, because they are easy and with life getting in the way I have not had time or the energy for much. Now that I’m done though I hope to branch out. I can also crochet, thanks to my very patient mom who taught me. I can crochet the hell out of a scarf, but little else at the moment. I’ve been out of practice for awhile, but hope to get back into it. I also hope to learn how to knit in the fall. I once tried teaching myself in college, but that didn’t work out so well. You'll be able to check out my crafty projects soon once I get a page set-up. :P
